Serena: Smart information use: Home

Welcome to the smart information use toolbox

It is easy to get lost in the vast amount of information available on the internet, especially if you are working on an assignment or a professional product. In this toolbox, we help you to use information more efficiently. You will find tips on how to ask the right questions, how to search for information, how to assess the relevance and credibility of the information you find, and how to process the information you find correctly and provide the correct references. You will also learn about communicating the information you find and publishing.

There are different phases in the educational concept Design Based Education (DBE). In each phase, you need information. In this toolbox, the different phases of the DBE process each have a different colour.

Click on the colour that is most relevant for you at this moment and use the toolbox to get started with your research!

If you are interested to see how much you know about using information smartly (effective searching), referencing or PubMed, you can test your knowledge using the practise test.
