International Business: Research

Introduction

Below you will find themes and keywords that are relevant for research in IB Year 2 that you can search for in search engines, on websites, in books, articles etc.

In addition, you will find the titles of books, which are mandatory for this part of the study and optional literature

Keywords/ Themes

Key themes that will be covered in Research in IB year 2 are as follows:

  • Evaluation and use of appropriate and reliable secondary sources
  • Designing and conducting a qualitative study (interview, observation, focus group)
  • Qualitative data analysis
  • Designing and conducting a quantitative study (survey using questionnaires)
  • Quantitative data analysis
  • Reliability and validity

The themes presented above can be used as keywords to find information related to the topics/themes. Try to use other keywords as well. Think about how synonyms, translations, abbreviations, different spelling, broader terms, narrower terms can be used to find relevant information.

Link the keywords with the Boolean operators to specify your search query: AND, OR and NOT:

- AND between terms means: both terms should occur in the documents.

- OR between terms means: one term or both terms should occur.

- NOT between terms means: one term should occur, while the other is excluded.
